Round Bird Cage
The round bird cage is like by bird lovers for their attractive look. However, when you consider from bird’s point of view, having round bird cage is not advisable. You have a variety of reasons why you should not have round bird cage.
The main reason why to have round bird cage is not welcomed is that they may be detrimental to the psychological health of the bird. Generally, the birds are very intelligent and they love to climb around merrily. If you have round bird cage, then may get crazy climbing around and getting nowhere. On the other hand, if you give the bird an angular cage that is rectangle or square in shape, the bird can guess the reference points to different locations in their place and so they will feel quite safe and confident. This will increase their happiness and will make them satisfied with its territory.
The round bird cage is considered to be an old-fashioned one. They provide awkward living spaces for birds to inhabit. You cannot offer the space that they need in this type of cage and so their feathers might be caught between the bars wearing them down. The birds will feel tired soon.
When you see the maintenance side, you can easily clean the angular one rather than a round bird cage. Also many of the bird cage accessories such as millet holders, seed cups and cage liners fit easily in square or rectangular ones and this is not the case with round bird cage. In rectangular cage, the parrot could find a place to hide and it will become playful. However, in round bird cage the parrot would feel insecure and the bars comes together at the top and the parrot might be get caught in them. Therefore it is better not to opt for round bird cage.
When you buy round bird cage or any other shaped ones, you must see if it would suit the size of your bird. The bird cage that is suitable for canaries may not suit macaws or parrots. That which you make use of for bigger sized birds must be big enough to make them feel comfortable. You should have place to keep at least 3 water and food dishes and two or three perches for your birds. Also you must make the bird happy with few toys. Choose such a bird cage and see your bird singing happily.
